Saw this place on TikTok and had been wanting to try for awhile! Hit the mark in every single way beautiful desserts and they taste even better. In my experience trying stuff that is this beautiful the taste never matches up to what I have in my mind, but this was pleasantly different than any experience I’ve had with desserts! Everything tastes real, fresh, quality and well thought out all around! I got the Passionfruit Coconut, Berries & Cream Heart, Snickers & Rocky Road Cookie all delicious !

One of the best chocolate croissants I’ve ever had. The shortbread cookies were delicious - flavors ranging from matcha, lavender, & earl grey. This bakery is one of my “must-go’s” whenever I’m in Portland. The quality is unmatched. Everyone can find a sweet treat that they’d enjoy here!

Have heard about Jinju Patisserie for a long time as a Portland local. When I heard about the exclusive crownkie I had to come visit. Jinju is a cozy bakery perfect for casual morning. There was a line around the block for this specific release but the wait was certainly worth it. The specialty crownkie was extremely flaky, crispy, and buttery. It was a croissant with a cookie baked on top and brownie inside. The other thing we tried was the coffee cake which was perfectly soft. Service was great. Pricing was pretty high even for Portland. I would definitely recommend checking this place out.

Whenever I travel I always look up the best rated chocolate shops in the city, especially for artisan bonbons. We showed up at Jinju at 8:00am and the line was already out the door. I only planned to get the bonbons but ended up getting a savory croissant, a regular croissant, and some dessert in addition. All of it was delicious! The artisan bonbons came with a little booklet of descriptions which made eating them a whole chocolate tasting experience. For me, it was worth the cost!

I love a good pastry, and Jinju was excellent! Let me start by saying the service was fantastic. The gal that helped us was very sweet. We tried the white lemon cake, which was so moist and had the perfect amount of sweetness. It was light and smooth. The chocolate croissant was huge and was so flaky and buttery. The carrot cake was pretty good. We were hoping for more carrot shavings but it was still pretty good. The icing was just right. The matcha yuzu pastry was beautiful but not my favorite. It had a light texture almost like mousse which I enjoyed. The triple chocolate cookie was heavenly! Definitely a place I would go back to! Street parking only.

We got here right away in the morning and were served quickly. The person who took the order seemed stressed and rushed.

We got a butter croissant, chocolate croissant and a sticky bun. The butter croissant was hot out of the oven but seemed a bit doughy and there was some egg at the bottom. The sticky bun was average, nothing special.

The chocolate croissant was a show stopper. This was so flaky and decadent, the bit of chocolate on top and in the middle were perfect. I’d only get this if I went back

Jinju is rated as one of the top 5 croissants in Portland and I can see why. There was a constant stream of customers coming in, some we talked to were first timers that were enjoying the delicious treats like we were. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and joining in the conversation. The pastries were amazing. A rich buttery croissant base for the mushroom tart, the chocolate chip coffee cake had a tender crumb and the bits of dark chocolate and cinnamon throughout were a perfect combination. We splurged on the dessert as they all looked so good. We got the Coconut-Passionfruit. Delicate coconut flavor with the perfectly tart-sweet of the passion fruit sitting atop a tender cookie type base was something to not miss at any time of the day. Don’t forget to grab a coffee - the white chocolate-lavender latte was balanced and delicious!

Quick stop before heading to the airport because I just needed to try these gorgeous desserts! We went in the morning and the queue was long but it didn’t take too much time. I know everyone gets the croissants but I could only choose one thing and I went with the desserts. I got the berries and cream and my boyfriend got the lemon raspberry tart.

I devoured mine in seconds after a split second pause to admire its beauty. It was delicious, I love the contrast of the creaminess and freshness of it, the different layers of flavors. My boyfriend didn’t love his, he actually didn’t even finish it (-1 star) but maybe he just got the wrong thing.

I wish there was more seating and service was a bit snippy but desserts are worth it.
