I went in to order sugar free cake, I was received with an attitude from the lady behind the counter she wasn't even nice enough to explain how the cake was going to be, or if I wanted to add any toppings or personalization . She was pretty rude the entire time. I came to pick up my cake a day later since I still needed a cake and since I paid $50 I thought it was at least going to have fruit on top. It was a plain white small cake. I was really disappointed and felt overcharged.Service needs to be better. Wouldn’t recommend

I usually drive from Katy to Pasadena for a capricho cake. The fruit was dry so was the cake. The cake was so dry. It’s crazy how much the cake has in fact changed. The customer service was so rude when I came in no one was there in the shop the lady refused to add nuts to the cake since she already closed the bag. The cake has definitely gone down hill. I been buying this cake for years the fruit was stale and old on top of the cake. I should’ve listened to the reviews I wasted a 1.5 hour drive from Katy during rush hour for nothing but a disappointing cake. $85 for nothing but a dry cake. It was a 10” cake with dry mangos on top. I disliked it so much.

I visited this bakery for the first time to get a rosca. While there, I couldn't resist to also try the other pastries they make. I got a sampler (had cookies and empanadas) and a slice of their famous capricho. If you get the capricho, you can add various toppings. I added cajeta and strawberries and it tasted amazing. All the pastries I purchased were very delicious. The rosca was very tasty especially with the cream cheese filing. I will definitely be going back to enjoy more pasteles and cookies.

I recently ordered a cake for a special occasion from your bakery, hoping to experience the same level of quality and creativity that I had heard so much about. However, my experience left much to be desired. Despite providing a detailed reference photo for the decoration I desired, the final product was far from what I expected. The design was poorly executed, and it was evident that the decor quality did not match the price I paid (I.e. using paper as part of the decor when the picture clearly showed fondant). When I raised my concerns, I was disappointed to be told that the issue was due to poor communication on my part. While I appreciated the bakery’s attempt to rectify the situation, the second cake still fell short of expectations. The decoration remained subpar, and it was disheartening to see that, even after the attempt to fix it, the quality did not improve significantly. As someone who had heard glowing reviews about your bakery, I had high hopes for my experience. Unfortunately, my expectations were not met, and I left feeling disappointed. I believe that clear communication and attention to detail are essential in a bakery, especially when it comes to custom orders. While my experience may have been an isolated incident, I hope that you will take this feedback constructively and strive to improve the quality of your products and customer service in the future. Overall, my experience at your bakery fell short of the reputation I had heard, and I am feeling disappointed with the outcome of my order.

This bakery was recommended to me for my daughter’s 1st birthday cake and cupcakes! They turned out AMAZING! We received so many compliments and were so pleased by how beautiful and tasty they were. We highly recommend Sweet G Bakery!
