I have tried so so many times to love this place, but at this point I have to say something. For a small local cafe that really seems to be involved in the community, the vibes of the staff are just NOT it. Behind the register is a “pass it forward” bulletin but it seems that the staff can’t even be kind enough to their own costumers.
The baked goods and shepherds pie are usually quite delicious, today the panini came out barely warm with hard cheese after waiting over 30 minutes. I don’t wish this business to fail, I sincerely hope they consider the environment they are curating and work to be more welcoming and friendly to all.

A few vegan food options are available and the coffee is pretty decent. It is a great place to get some work done. There is also an outdoor playground for young children to roam around. So, definitely family friendly. The parking lot gets filled pretty fast, especially during the weekend.

I really like this place, but they have room for improvement.

It’s got a wonderful little free library, a fun playground and an indoor play space for kids. There’s several rooms so you can find a quiet space if you need to concentrate.

I do wish they had more food options. The playground is in dire need of maintenance - the gangplank onto the ship is extremely slippery, the mast has broken off leaving a jagged edge with caution tape wrapped around it, and the mulch is mostly dirt and ants at this point. Also there is a random deck out by the fence with more jagged holes in it - I saw a little girl get her foot stuck. In the heat of summer, it is very unpleasant and it would be nice to have the area more covered, maybe with a cooling system. There are also a LOT of flies.

The coffee is not good. It is tolerable to drink but they do not know how to make it.

That said, my kid still likes to come here, so we do! He would give the place 5 stars for the millionaire bar and pirates booty.

I told the cashier had and cheese croissant but I was brought up a chocolate croissant. Not a big deal since I love chocolate croissants anyway but I mentioned it to the person bringing it and said it's okay. I felt really bad because I should have checked before paying or at least on the receipt. They were so nice they brought me out a ham and cheese croissant anyway. What sweet people.

The pie and coffee were good.
But the space outside where the children’s playground is located seemed completely uncomfortable to me - uncomfortable tables and chairs, cleaning equipment in the most visible place and a huge number of flies that I had to constantly brush away completely ruined the impression :/
Perhaps mothers with children will feel comfortable here drink coffee while the kids run around in the fenced playground.

Great little coffee spot. We visited while visiting Austin, it was a walk away from the air-bnb we stayed in. Their Americano was spot on. They also have some delicious looking fresh baked goods that they put out in the morning until they run out out. We got a chocolate croissant and it was scrumptious. Recommend trying it if you’re in the area.

Smells welcoming when you walk in the door. I was greeted with cute pastries and chill & attentive service. I had rushed over to meet a friend and when I gathered the flow of the counter I was able to chill out immediately. Was nice to feel like you walked into your friend’s house. No fancy decor, looks are nothing to brag about inside BUT it that the most important thing when looking for a good place to meet a friend? BONUS: there is a small playground in the back where the kiddos can play and the decor out there is quite nice. I could see myself making this place part of my ritual if I had little ones and took a sacred moment to relax.
